A Kerrydox

Hmm, so Kerry Blames Bush for Partisanship in D.C. I often wonder if Kerry actually knows what's going on. Maybe he should campaign as the "ignorance is bliss" candidate, because that certainly seems to be his policy.

Let me give you some things he said about the senate:

"...in this Senate... it's my way or the highway, shut the door, lock the people out, don't let them take part in the democracy, don't respect the institution. Don't show the common courtesies that actually bring people together to find the common ground."

Hey, it sounds like he's talking about the constitutionally abusive filibusters! Maybe he's actually in touch with the real world for once! Oh wait, he continued by saying this:

"So they found a way all day to twiddle their thumbs, do very little, attend a reception at the White House, but not let John Kerry vote."

(Sigh) Well, I'd say he's completely right; the senate does have a problem with locking people out and not letting them take part in democracy. One of those people is Miguel Estrada.

"(The Republicans) Don't show the common courtesies that actually bring people together to find common ground."

Hey, at least the Repubs let the Democrats talk. One can't even find that much courtesy in the Democrats' record.

In Kerry's world, the earth is still flat, the sun revolves around the earth, and everything revolves around Kerry. In Kerry's world, we are in a worse situation economically than theSoviet Union, but instead of having a great humanitarian like Stalin as leader, we get stuck with a warmongering cowboy who is a complete wimp. Again, that's in Kerry's world.

In the real world things are different. If anyone wants to know what things are like in the real world, he must simply listen to what Kerry says... and then not believe a word of it.

The new JFK's view of the world is a paradox, an obvious contradiction to reality. Therefore, when referring to something paradoxical or outright stupid that John Kerry says, it shall be called a Kerrydox. It could also be called a Kerrymoron, but we will reserve that for references to Kerry himself.

Maybe if we all vote for Kerry, he can take us all to his alternate reality, where everything is wrong and he can fix it all. That way, he would be a hero, at least in his own little world.

UPDATE: I (yet again) posted the wrong link. Now you should be able to visit the site that has the story I mentioned.

Let me just start out by saying that I am extremely impressed that you are only 15-years-old. When you posted on my blog a few days ago -- I was utterly amazed at how you went point-by-point defending your point of view.

Although our views are completely opposite -- I can appreicate them.

Now, I am no GREAT fan of Kerry. But, morally, I cannot support Bush. Why? Because of the Pre-Emptive strike. We totally lost focus in Afganistan -- shifted to Iraq. Changed a policy on attacking first -- and now we are stuck. Saddam could have waited until BinLaden was found. Why the wag the dog?

Great site!
Trish :)

One of Bush's big pitches in 2000 was that he was a "uniter not a divider." I think it's fair to hold him accountable for his shift to the right, when he only had a mandate to govern from the center.

I agree with ya Neo! I can't believe Kerry is blaming Bush for any such thing. I've heard about the things that go on in the Senate, and I can tell ya, Bush has nothing to do with the "division". That is Democrats feeling political-power threatened.

Also, the Congress has been a bunch of bickering, over-reacting, baby-attitude like group of adults for a long long time (way before Bush)! They just are like that. It's like, they get together and totally lose their minds. They completely forget that they're there for the good of the people, not themselves. :P

Thanks Trish,

I do have a question, though. Would you have supported war in Iraq if we had waited until after we capture Osama bin Laden?

Anonymous,

Bush hasn't done much to divide people. He has actually kept quiet on several hot-button issues that I wish he would speak out on. I believe that the only way to unite a group of people that includes democrats and republicans is to get rid of one of the groups. Dems and Repubs simply can't be reconciled for the most part.

I don't think Bush can be held accountable for the whinings of the extreme left. The only way he could get them to stop whining is to placate them, and then the nation would be even more divided than before.

Unity is not easily attained because when many democrats call for unity, they are actually calling for people to give them their way. If they can't get it, they resort to obstructionist tactics such as filibustering, and then blame the division that results on President Bush.

No. I would not have supported the war -- even if we caught UBL. Have you read blogs of Iraqi Citizens that are living through the occupation. Check out http://riverbend.blogspot.com -- terribly sad.
