Another Kind of Total Depravity
I Don't Want to Die' Heard on Flight 93 Tape
"The last words heard as [Flight 93] nears the ground were repeated four times in Arabic: 'Allah is the greatest. Allah is the greatest. Allah is the greatest. Allah is the greatest.' Then, just the sound roaring static can be heard."Does anyone else find it odd that someone as "great" as Allah is scared out of his wits by Jews and people who convert to Christianity? How great can he be if he needs a bunch of men with rugs on their heads to blow themselves and the infidels up? Sounds more like desperation than greatness... but then, what do I know?
I'm just a civilized Westerner.

Yeah, exactly.
I definately plan on seeing that movie!
Bravery? No. Insanity? Yes. Wisdom? No. Desperation? Yes. And I don't care if you are a civilized westerner. You've written this well!

And whats his fear of women?
interesting they chant 'Allah is the greatest' as he does nothing to save them.
You should bless us all with a really long post sometime soon. :)
Yeah, no preasure or anything.
I'm waiting for it to come out on SquareTAlk before I link it, but Josiah has it linked to on his xanga.
The sound is....as good as we could get it, in other words, still foggy but Josiah was audible. I didn't know I was so loud, lol.
Kp
Eh...just a thought. "[M]en with rugs on their heads" isn't probably the best way to talk about Arabs. :) Remember...not all are Muslims; there are a growing number of Christian Arabs; and the hijackers didnt wear turbans. ;)
That aside...indeed. That their "greater" (akbar means "greater") god should have to rely on such despicable tactics doesnt do much to exalt him.
Aye then, I believe that ye may just know what ye talking about. Allah is greatest?, hmmmm, intersting isn't it. That allah means god in their language and that they do extreme acts to prove they're correct. However looking briefly at christians, what extreme acts have we done. Just a thought from a friend ye'll find in the row near ye this wednesday.
In other points, maybe ye could congradulate me for finding ye blog, although ye should probably thank Jeddie seeing as women are smarter in the first place.
Nice point Jacob. It's sad, even though it is true...
Alright, in order of appearance...
Myshkin,
Hahaha I'm workin' on it. I'd love to have a nice 2000 word post written up now... and to be honest, I've got a lot of stuff already written, but it wasn't for my blog, it was stuff I wrote for other outlets (e-mails, discussion forums, etc.). Maybe I'll post some of that...
Alexander,
Fair enough. :-)
Jacob B.,
"However looking briefly at christians, what extreme acts have we done."
What extreme acts have we done, or what extreme acts have been done in our name, and in the name of Christ? Because there is a difference. Besides, our Bible does not encourage extreme acts as the Koran does.
And the first person try to prove me wrong with an OLD TESTAMENT war or punishment is will be tarred and feathered. :-D
Either way Neo, what acts 'ave been done? I would seriously like to know. I can get on the internet any time I want and hear all about what the Islamic nations 'ave done. But what deeds that grab internationl attention are being done in the name of Christ or any other combination ye can think of. Please inform us. Perhaps that could be the topic for ye next post.
Just a friendly thought,
Maverick
"Either way Neo, what acts 'ave been done? I would seriously like to know."
Did you just switch sides? *Confused*
Perhaps its because the islamic jihadists are the ones doing the acts of terrorism, not Christians.
I for one would certainly love to see some radical Christian Acts being reported on in the mainstream media. Problem is, radical christianity builds up people, it doesn't destroy them. Destruction sells ads,(thereby gaining almost all the airtime on the news).
I submit that radical Christian Acts are being perfomed all over the world; they just aren't considered "newsworthy". One example is kids in schools reaching out and befriending those among them who are considered less than cool. Another example is people who remember to be kind to others NO MATTER WHAT is done to them.
On another tack, there are medical missions, food, disaster relief, and housing missions worldwide under many denominations.
I think that is what Jacob B is talking about?
Extreme Love is more powerful, and yet less flashy, than hatred.
Heh. That was a very different Anonymous then I was gearing up to rebut.
Well spoken.
