Missouri Legalizes Noodling!

Have you ever had the urge to dive into a river, stick your hand up under the bank, and get bitten by a catfish that could be as big as you are? If so, Missouri's your state!

You think I'm kidding? People actually do that, and they come up with some huge fish! It's called noodling, and unfortunately, I don't think it's legal in my state. Somehow I believe I'll survive, though...

Just for the record, I think it's neat that they legalized noodling. I think it's more fair than fishing with a rod and reel (if you want to look at it in terms of fairness), and I'm glad that now people in Missouri have the right to life, liberty, and pursuit of gigantic catfish.

Actually, it's probably the most effective (ouch!) way of catching catfish. Catfish usually lurk in deep pools; it's hard to reach them with 'line unsnarled and bobber bright'.

Uhm, I just found your site and have a question. You're a conservative Christian, and your moniker is NeoFascist? What is up with that?

Catfish can't really bite. Their teeth are soft. At the most, you could get scratched. But who in their right mind would stick their hand into an underwater hole? They are inhabited by other things, such as snakes, beavers, muskrats, snapping turtles and gators. Did I mention snakes?

Never ever ever eat wild catfish! They're bottom feeders, so you have no idea what they've been eating! It can actually be dangerous to your health. Better to buy one that's been raised in a Catfish farm where it's food source is consistent and controled.

And somehow the whole idea of noodling sounds funny.

Noodling certainly is a funny idea...

I personally don't think I'd have the guts to do it. I wouldn't mind the catfish bite (it does draw blood sometimes, if it's a big fish), but I just couldn't stand going underwater for a long time, knowing that I could come up with a snakebite. Too many things that I COULD be grabbing...

A,

Good question. For starters, I _am_ a Conservative Christian and I most definitely _am not_ a fascist.

Fascist, Neofascist, intolerant bigot... these are all names that liberals fling at conservatives without reason. They either have no concept of the definition of these words or they don't know what Conservatives stand for, because if they did, they would find some better names.

I call myself "NeoFascist?" as a joke. I quite obviously am not a fascist, but I knew that I would at some point be called a fascist because I hold conservative beliefs. Therefore, I thought I'd just call myself "NeoFascist?" partly to save liberals the trouble of coming up with a mean name for me, and also to show the absurdity of calling all conservatives "fascists." (notice the question mark in my name)

So in short, I'm not a fascist. I simply call myself that to make fun of the way that liberals toss these names around with no concept of what they mean.
